  1. Ceramic Wax lube is the perfect choice for serious cyclists who want to minimize the amount of time they spend on drivetrain maintenance and maximize the amount of time they spend in the saddle.
  2. Every time Ceramic Wax is applied to the chain, the ceramic coating is enhanced, ultimately providing the durability of many oil-based lubricants.
  3. With Finish Line Ceramic Wax there is no wetness or stickiness on your chain or parts, so dirt and abrasive grime are not absorbed into the lubricating film.
  4. By avoiding abrasive wear, parts run more smoothly and last much longer.
  5. Note: As the white ceramic particles embed themselves on the chain, they will displace grime, causing a grey or black film to form on top of the wax coating.
  6. Over time (2-3 applications) this phenomenon will lessen or cease.
  7. This discoloration is normal and will not compromise performance.
  8. As Ceramic Wet builds it’s ceramic coating on the frictional surfaces of a drivetrain, cyclists will feel the smoothness and appreciate the added quietness.
  9. Clean your chain without removing it–in just one minute.
  10. For cyclists who are serious about keeping their drivetrain in race-ready condition, Finish Line’s Pro Chain Cleaner is a valuable piece of equipment that will make this tedious task much easier.
  11. Finish Line’s legendary synthetic bicycle grease is formulated with Teflon fluoropolymer, advanced rust or corrosion inhibitors and extreme pressure additives that withstand the most extreme conditions that a bicycle can encounter.
  12. A new technology degreaser that quickly cleans without damage to rubber or plastic components.
  13. Strong enough for the grimiest metal parts, yet safe enough to clean parts with rubber o-rings and seals, urethane elastomers and painted surfaces.
  14. Ceramic WAX creates a coating with an extremely low coefficient of friction.
  15. Every time Ceramic WAX is applied, the ceramic coating is enhanced, ultimately providing the durability of many oil-based lubricants!
  16. Ceramic WAX ensures total drivetrain cleanliness without the ‘distance’ compromise that other wax lubricants require.
  17. With Finish Line Ceramic WAX there is no ‘wetness’ or stickiness on your chain or parts, so dirt or grime are not attracted or absorbed by the lubricant.
  18. By avoiding abrasive wear, parts run more smoothly and last much longer!
  19. And Ceramic WAX is engineered to not have a wax film that will buildup over time.
  20. The technology that defines Ceramic WAX is so unique and leading edge it’s patented!
  21. Finish Line’s Ceramic Wax lube is an advanced, wax based bicycle chain lubricant that ensures total drivetrain cleanliness without the distance compromise that other wax lubricants require.
  22. Ceramic Wax lube is the perfect choice for serious cyclists who want to minimize the amount of time they spend on drivetrain maintenance and maximize the amount of time they spend in the saddle.

  24. My bike shop, about 6 years ago told me about wax lubes.
  25. I tried them and was impressed by how clean they were (you can bump the chain and still be clean), but they did not last that long.
  26. I found that I had to reapply the lubes with some regularity.
  27. I saw this product featured in an article and they said great this about it.
  28. I have used it for about 200 miles so far and it performed very good.
  29. I got caught in rain a few days ago and decided to reapply the lube.
  30. It is always a good idea to reapply a wax lube after your chain get significantly wet).
  31. I have to say that this lube has outperformed my other go to was lube (White Lightning).
  32. This lube has Nano size ceramic partials that are supposed to extent the duration of the lubrication.
  33. If you ride in the rain a lot, then an oil based would still be better than a wax lube.
  34. Wax lubes start to break down if they are exposed to water frequently.
  35. I have been very impressed with performance, longevity, and dirt repellent properties of this lube.
  36. It takes a bit more up front effort but it is well repaid by not needing to clean my chain every week.
  37. I have gone up to a month (In dry weather) before I needed to clean and re-apply.
  38. Apply two coats (careful, the product will exit from the bottle very quickly because its thin ) and let it sit overnight.
  39. I use it on my SHIMANO Dura-Ace equipped road bike, and don’t ride in wet weather.
  40. I had a squeaking chain after 2-3 50 mile rides before, but that is almost doubled now.
  41. This lasts longer, and is also the cleanest lube I have used.
  42. I’ll stick with this unless something better comes along.
  43. Takes a couple applications on a new chain and make sure you start with a clean chain if using on one that’s been used.
  44. This oil makes for a very quiet, very low-friction chain (at least it feels that way).
  45. The one drawback: if the oil is cold, the wax congeals and clogs the nozzle .
  46. The screw insert in the cap broke off when I first opened it.
  47. Doesn’t show up that much on cassettes, but my chainrings are (were) black.
  48. Also it seems to want to be reapplied more often than wet lube.
  49. But it’s a multi-application process, and the nozzle gets clogged every 2 drops.
  50. Will not buy again, and would advise against others purchasing.
  51. Gunked up my chain more than any lube that I’ve ever tried.

Finish Line Ceramic WET Bicycle Chain Lube

  1. This wet-style full synthetic lubricant is enhanced with a nano-sized platelets of boron nitride and micron particles of fluoropolymer.
  2. As Ceramic WET builds it’s ceramic coating on the frictional surfaces of a drivetrain, cyclists will feel the smoothness and appreciate the added quietness.
  3. Ceramic WET’s extreme durability, amazing smoothness and ultimate quietness will exceed the expectations of most cyclists!
  4. Ceramic WET is a full water-proof lubricant, so it can be used in all disciplines: Mountain bike, cyclo-cross, road and track racing.
  5. Application tips: Apply generously to clean chain (Degrease, rinse with water and then dry.) Work in, wipe excess.
  6. Reapply after 1st ride to complete ceramic coating process.
  7. NOTE: The white ceramic particles may turn grey or black over time.
  8. This discoloration is normal and will not compromise performance.
  9. Ceramic Wet Lube is Finish Line’s most advanced and effective racing lubricant.
  10. This wet-style full synthetic lubricant builds a ceramic coating on frictional surfaces resulting in increased smoothness, longer intervals, and a chain that runs so quiet, you will notice the difference.
  11. Ceramic Wet’s extreme durability holds up even in wet weather conditions.
  12. Although more expensive than most lubes, Ceramic Wet delivers more miles per application, often exceeding 175 miles.
  13. It goes on easily, and after drying forms a sticky film that lasts a very long time.
  14. I guess it picks up some dirt and dust, but I’ve honestly never had a lube that doesn’t.
  15. If an oily wet lube is wet enough to work, it is wet enough to absorb dirt.
  16. Dry lubes just leaves waxy crud on everything and never seems to lubricate well enough.
  17. This slightly tacky lube seems to be less messy than either an oily wet lube or a cruddy dry lube, but it lasts way, way longer.
  18. I can actually wipe clean the side plates and outer surfaces of a chain several times while the inside surfaces still seem sticky and well lubricated.
  19. One thing to note is that this lube needs to dry in order to be at it’s best.
  20. I try to apply it and then let it sit a while before a ride.
  21. After the carrier fluid evaporates, I lightly wipe any excess off the chain.
  22. If I must apply it right before a ride I just wipe the excess after I am done riding.
  23. It’s pretty obvious when the lube is dry because it changes from watery to a sticky film.
  24. By cleaning off excess lube it helps minimize dirt build up, while still providing very good, and very long lasting lubrication.
  25. This Finish Line Ceramic really stood out as superior and is the only thing I buy anymore.
  26. Readily penetrates and coats your parts and does not dry and leave gummy oil varnish.
  27. A little goes a long way to keep parts moving effortlessly.
  28. Advanced formula of synthetic lubricant with ceramic and fluoropolymers coats and bonds to frictional surfaces at a molecular level to provide low friction and viscosity for better efficiency.
  29. The only thing I would improve on is to make the bottle tip applicator longer, narrower and pointed for better application control.
  30. It maintains good lubrication in the wet and muddy conditions common to the mountains of western NC.
  31. Even after hours in mud and rain and multiple stream crossings my chain is quiet and shifting smooth.
  32. While good initially, its performance improves after a few applications as it bonds with chain – during this process you’ll notice the chain looks dirty and terrible; the chain will start to turn black, but returns to a normal appearance after couple cleanings and re-applications of this lube.
  33. While I love this stuff for mountain biking in wet conditions, it’s not perfect for everything.
  34. Dust will stick to the outside of the chain, but it actually rinses or wipes off very easily onto a rag (and onto your leg).
  35. So once you use this, I recommend sticking with it for the life of the chain.
  36. USE:
I run my chain through a cleaner with citrus degreaser after about 3-5 rides, then run it through a shop rag and let it dry thoroughly.
  37. I then apply the lube, run the chain through all the gears, wipe the excess off the rings and gears and let it sit for an hour so and then remove the excess from the chain.
  38. In between cleanings, I lightly grasp the sides of the chain in shop rag and most dirt comes right off.
  39. I leave it outside and it rains fairly often so this lube is pretty ideal when it comes to keeping the lag off of your physical momentum while doing long distances.
  40. I make 28km every weekday and I’ve only applied it once since I got it.
  41. Last a few weeks through rain storms, I’m very surprised how well it’s working.
  42. Bit pricey to order after ya ea and shipping expenses plus blahblahblah but I’m ultimately satisfied.
  43. Do not buy this though if you plan to cycle through dirt paths.
  44. It’s meant for wet conditions like water puddles and rain.
  45. The lube deflects moisture like a hot butter knife though butter.
  46. Though it will stick to dust, so if you’re planing to cycle in every environment, I recommend you look for the middle ground lube.
  47. Doesn’t seem better than other bicycle chain lubricants.
  48. It isn’t bad, but it isn’t much of an improvement from the the dry lubricant I had been using which I needed to regularly reapply to quiet the chain.
  49. While this keeps the chain quieter since it doesn’t evaporate away, it’s oily and attracts a lot of dirt.
  50. I have to clean and relube regularly, otherwise I fear the dirt will wear down the chain.
  51. I regularly check my chain with a chain-wear indicator to prevent excess wear to the chainrings and cogs.
  52. I still have 2/3 of the bottle left and will continue to use it on the new chain.
  53. Otherwise, I’ll look for something better when I finish the bottle.
  54. It does require more frequent cleaning however, since it tends to pick up gunk much faster.
